Nostalgia

A ten-day Indonesian respite
By Earl D.C. Bracamonte

One of the most vibrant and colorful cuisines in the world takes center stage starting today until Sept 18th at the Nostalgia dining lounge with an Indonesian food festival buffet spread that is sure to rock your gastronomic senses.
The dynamic and flavorful Indonesian fare is proffered with the culinary acumen of executive toque Chef Deden Suherman, together with sous chef Sulistyo Antonius who flew in to Manila all the way from the Oakwood Premier Cozmo in Jakarta.
Savor any of the intense-flavored concoctions like the savory Rendang Padang, the famous Indonesian beef stew cooked with spices and herbs; the appetizing Gado-Gado, a steamed mixed vegetable dish smothered with peanut sauce; the tangy Mie Goreng, a must-try Indonesian fried noodle dish; and the spicy Sambal Goreng Udang, the zing-ful sauteed chili prawns, among many others.
Craving for game or fowl? Try the Soto Ayam Madura, chicken soup with turmeric or the Ayam Sereh Limo, chicken prepared with lemon grass and lime. And if you're the type who simply adore greens then the perfect dishes for you are the Padang Style Salad, a plateful of mixed vegetables with potato and egg sauce; or the Asinan Sayur, a dish of mixed raw veggies served with sweet-spicy-sour sauce.
Enjoy favorite Indonesian staples either a la carte or at the smorgasbord spread. Special set menus are available daily for lunch and dinner throughout the foodfest duration, with a weekday lunch buffet at only Php999 net.
The Nostalgia dining lounge is located at the 6th level of Oakwood Premier Joy~Nostalg Center Manila along ADB Avenue in Ortigas Center.
