The long wait is finally over! Fans and supporters, most especially the candidates and their respective teams, were all elated to know that the long-in-hibernation pageant will finally unfold in a few hours.
In an Instagram post, the Miss World-Philippines organization wrote, "The Miss World-Philippines coronation night will finally push through this coming Sunday, October 3, at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center Hall A.
"With the full endorsement of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), the Miss World-Philippines organization will ensure the strict implementation of all IATF mandated protocols for the safety of all the candidates, organizers, and production crew."
Aside from Miss Supranational Philippines appointee Dindi Joy Pajares - and Pauline Robles of San Pablo, Laguna who withdraw from the competition because of her medical studies - 43 other hopefuls are vying for seven other titles up for grabs. The ladies have competed in all the fast track challenges - Beauty with a Purpose, Multimedia, Sports, Talent, Top Model, National Costume, Head to Head, Goodwill, Beach Beauty, and Charity by Teviant - in the weeks leading to the original final show schedule of July 25. It was then moved to August 8, then postponed indefinitely, that is, until this coming Sunday.
Aside from the Supra title assigned to Dindi Joy Pajares, the other 2021 titles to be handed out are the Miss World-Philippines, Reina Hispanoamerica Filipinas, Miss Eco Philippines, Miss Multinational Philippines, Miss Eco Teen Philippines, Miss Tourism Philippines, and Miss Environment Philippines.
The Miss World 2021 finals will unfold this December 16 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
