 Best Magazine honors accomplished persons and labels

RDH Entertainment Network and Best Magazine lauded its awardees and honorees in a no-frills ceremony very recently. The assemblage was the fourth edition of the annual Faces of Success awards.

"In 2017, we created Best Magazine to honor, and inspire, Filipinos here and abroad. A year later, and annually thereafter, we began the Faces of Success awards, except in 2020. This year, our beneficiaries are in Mindanao - the Carmelites Home for Abandoned Children in Dipolog City and the Riverside Home in Dapitan City. You'll never go wrong with kindness," shared publisher Richard Ferdinand D. Hiñola.

The evening's honorees included Nadine Lustre, Edgar Gahisan, Yasmin Kurdi, Chef Celedonio Fernandez, Sanya Lopez, Diane de Mesa, John Nite, Manila Times executive Bianca Mercado, Sean de Guzman, publicist Aster Amoyo, supermodel Gerone Olorocisimo, TV host Diana Meneses, radio deejay John Fontanilla, Joaquin Domagoso, movie producer Chris Cahilig, Azenith Briones, singer John Gabriel, Risa Dormiendo, director Sean Lim, beauty queen Alma Concepcion, events director Concon Siñel, radio host Dr. Joseph Lee, Devon Seron, Dr. Rey Salinel, beauty queen Ma. Katrina Llegado, as well as media persons Arlo Custodio and Eugene Asis.

"Ang pagtulong sa mga nangangailangan ay gawaing banal. I'll continue my calling to defend the oppressed. Let's celebrate the triumph of this year's honorees, as well as our public defenders. According to the latest SWS Survey, all 2,500 PAO lawyers are No. 1 nationwide," intoned PAO head Dr. Persida Rueda Acosta in her keynote speech. She was inducted by the magazine into the Hall of Fame.

This year's Best Quality Brands awardees included Aqua Skin oral sunblock, Erase cosmetics, Fit & Bloom coffee, Light Skin, SMNI news channel, Sun Smart, Ginnie Leow accessories, Net25, and Rise & Shine Pilipinas.

"Leadership comes with a lot of sacrifice. During the height of the global pandemic, it was a challenge for us to hold on to all our employees. But we did," shared honoree Jochen Bitzer, chief executive officer of Mercedes-Benz Philippines.

Presenters and proxies received the trophies and plaques of honorees who were in absentia - former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, entrepreneur Ma. Cecilia Bravo, fashion director Raymond Villanueva, TV personality William Thio, stage actor Rolando Inocencio, network executive Jojo Nones, fashion designer Leo Almodal, singer Gigi de Lana, and talent manager Wilbert Tolentino.

Actor Kimson Tan and former Asia's Top Model winner Maureen Wroblewitz were proclaimed the male and female Faces of the Night.

Hosted by GMA News TV's JC Barron, with entertainment numbers from The Voice Kids alumnus Reynan Dal-anay and P-Pop group Press & Play, the 4th Philippine Faces of Success awarding ceremonies was held at Greenhill's Teatrino on Dec. 3, 2022.
