 Sheynnis begins reign with trip to Indonesia

After media tours and photo shoots following her victory in El Salvador, newly-crowned Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios Cornejo is currently in Indonesia as part of her tour of duty. Travelling is an integral part of a Miss Universe's reign, and she gets to travel to a number of countries worldwide; mostly in an official capacity.

During the Pacific Mills/Catalina Swimsuit era, Miss Universe titleholders get to visit each of the countries of their runners-up in her court, before they all go and visit hers. While that practice has long been forgone, that itinerary not only served as news fodder but also as a vicarious immersion of pageant fans into the visited places, which they'll, otherwise, only see on a map or history/geography textbook.

In a social media reel, Sheynnis admitted to being a travel lover and that she enjoys visiting new places. The Nicaraguan beauty said she wants to visit as many countries as possible.

Her Latin America wishlist include the countries of Brazil, Colombia, and Chile. For Europe, she intends to visit Spain, Italy, and Greece. While for Asia, her choices are the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia.

With her visit to Indonesia, you could say her travel wish list is starting to take shape. 

Like R'bonney last year, pageant aficionados are hoping that Sheynnis' visit to the country will coincide with the Miss Universe Philippines national search next year.
