GSM liquor labels presents 2022 calendar girl

The Ginebra San Miguel brand - which includes liquor labels like GSM Blue, Vino Kulafu, GSM Premium, Primera light brandy, Ginebra San Miguel gin, and GSM cocktail mixes - recently unveiled their 2022 calendar girl Chie Filomeno through a virtual event hosted by Vince Velasco.

"Chie is a passionate vlogger, youth influencer, model, and actress who embodies the 'never die spirit' of the GSM brand. She exudes the youthful vibe of GSM Blue - one who is strong, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed for herself and her family," intoned national sales and marketing manager Alan Mercado.

Touted as "ang babaeng may bagong tapang," Chie is her family's breadwinner. "New strengths will pave the way for successes in the coming year. I'm so happy and overwhelmed by all the support.

"As a calendar girl, people get to see a better version of myself. For this undertaking, I did not want to be merely sexy but also strong inside, to my very core. Online bashing can hurt sometimes as we are only humans. While we may be public personalities, we are not public property.

"Authenticity is what I want people to see in me; to inspire people and give them hope. To be part of GSM's 188-year history makes me a part of that legacy. Thank you for trusting me," enthused Chie.

A very relatable person online, the young actress first trended on social media before making it to the big screen. Among her film exposures was a cameo in the KathNiel love drama "Got to Believe."

In one of the calendars, Chie is seen on rollerblades. "I wanted to be a figure skater coz I have good balance, but the equipment to that sport was quite expensive for me then."

In another calendar, she is seated on a race car. "I'm a car enthusiast and love the adrenaline rush of driving fast. As a child, instead of dolls, I went for matchbox cars and bump car rides in the arcade."

All calendars have a QR code where you can watch the behind-the-scenes footages of all the calendar shoots.

In another shoot, Chie was seen surf boarding. " The whole experience of riding the waves was fulfilling. It reminded me of how welcoming the people of Siargao were, when I learned the skill."

Chie considers dreams as a life well lived, and that the only thing constant in this world is love. 'Tapang' for her means standing up for what you believe in but without stepping down on others.

"GSM is the world's best selling gin. Drink moderately," she cautioned at the close of the virtual ceremony.
