Lingayen lass wins major title

The delegate from the capital city of Lingayen, Felicity Mamplata, bested 20 other hopefuls to be crowned Limgas na Pangasinan World 2025 at the culmination of glitzy rites at the NRSCC Gymnasium on Friday night, April 25th. Felicity also won the Best in Swimsuit and Miss Friendship awards earlier in the evening.
Angelica Joy Flores of Santa Barbara, winner of the Best Advocacy video, was crowned Limgas na Pangasinan Grand 2025. The designer of her Creative Costume, Mr. Cayetano, was named Best Creative Costume Designer.
While Claire Arwen Cacal of Calasiao was crowned Limgas na Pangasinan Mutya 2025. Cacal also won the Most Photogenic award.
Alannis Sophia Melarme Hodge (Sual) and Liannah Jermayne Mangosong (Asingan) were proclaimed 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively.
"The mission of Limgasna Pangasinan is to send a Pangasinense maiden to international pageants. This province-wide search affords opportunities to our winning delegates to compete nationally and, if proclaimed a national winner, to go internationally.
"To all the ladies, I'm so proud to be called your 'Father of the Province.' There is only one winner tonight, but, for me, you are all winners, because you will carry the learnings from this experience all your life. Stay excellent and beautiful!" enthused Gov. Ramon "Mon-mon" Guico III in his keynote address.
The other recipients of the special awards were Rosemarkie Erans (Urdaneta City, Darling of the Press), Freda Rosario (Labrador, Miss Talent, Grace Jineah Lumague (Pozzorubio, Best Artistic Video), Julianne Vernice Nandin (Rosales, Best Creative Costume), and Leinatan Sarmiento (San Carlos, Best in Evening Gown). Fashion designer Rian Fernandez, on the other hand, named Michael Miguel as Best Evening Gown Designer.
This year's panel of judges was comprised of Miss Universe 2021 Top 5 Bea Gomez, actor Carla Abellana, Miss Grand International 2024 1st runner-up CJ Opiaza, Binibining Pilipinas International 2024 Myrna Esguerra, Aces & Queens head Gerry Diaz, Miss World Philippines 2024 Krishnah Marie Gravidez, and Pampanga's provincial tourism officer Michael Castañeda as chairman.
"Tonight is the culmination of our candidates' hard work, with the participation of their respective local government units (LGUs). Let's all give them a warm round of applause for a job well done," intoned vice-governor, Hon. Mark Ronald Lambino in a short message.
Hosted by Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo and Unang Hirit's Anjo Pertierra, with a special performance by Ronnie Liang, the grand coronation rites unfolded at the Narciso Ramos Sports & Civic Center (NRSCC Gymnasium) and was streamed live on the provincial government's Facebook page.
