With the 74th Miss Universe pageant culminated in Bangkok, and a bevy of controversial issues notwithstanding, the competition for the next titleholder goes on - even with ownership of the MUO still on shaky ground!

And despite Puerto Rico bowing out as host country for the 75th edition, local pageants across the Philippine archipelago have continued. Several representatives have already been crowned and/or appointed.

Among the contestants are crossover queens Imelda Schweighart (Kalibo, Aklan), former Miss Earth Philippines, and Ashley Subijano Montenegro (Luisiana, Laguna), former Miss Eco Philuppines.
