After
the pre-pageant eliminations over the weekend, preparations are underway for
the first beauty-cum-modeling search, Campus Ambassadors of the Philippines
2014. This quest, spearheaded by watch label UniSilver Time is aimed at
selecting students who will promote the moral revolution and bolster
environmental protection.
Ma.
Maruskah Zabarte of Adamson University was proclaimed as Miss Campus
Personality; as well as Jonnas Ocfemia of Centro Escolar University at the close
of the pre-pageant ceremonies. The latter was also named Miss Congeniality. The
two girls both qualified for the final round together with Darla Roces (SLMIF),
Quennie Mae Gawad (UE), Princess Angelique Castaneda (Our Lady of Fatima
University), Mikaela Mendez (LPU Cavite), Mary Abigail De Vera (Theresian
School of Cavite), Aeronica Denice (Bulacan State University), Bianca Mae
Hernandez (Lorenzo Ruiz De Manila School), and Samantha Kaye Avestruz (UST).
Lordyan
Cheung of the Philippine College of Criminology was awarded Mr. Campus
Personality while Jade Evan Gultiano of Adamson University Mr. Friendship. The
two will go on to the finals and will be compete anew with co-contenders
Roskilde John Cornejo (Adamson University), Lord Anvyl Shimamura (Pamantasan ng
Lungsod ng Maynila), Pholraniel Everly Juan (Perpatual Help College Manila), Ryan
Alih (Adamson University), John Kevin Villarino (FEU Manila), Charlie Rick
Sheen Torres (Our Lady of Fatima University) and Jay Apa-ap (Adamson
University).
The
selection of the first “Campus Ambassadors of the Philippines” winners is
geared towards uplifting the youth’s pulchritude, talent & intellect, and
in becoming the role models for a new generation that will embody and put a
face on the organizers expectations on the kind of young people they want to
see at the dawn of a new era. All entrants to the search received wristwatches
from UniSilver Time.
The
Grand Final rites unfold at the SM Manila Atrium in the afternoon (4pm) of
