BYS, the Australian-label cosmetics, is also now a pulsating dance music video. Crooned by R & B princess Arnee Hidalgo, the upbeat composition, as written and lensed by Jeffrey Hidalgo, extols the virtues of ‘bringing your style’ (#bys) to the fore.
“The challenge was how to encapsulate the message of the song in the music video. As artists, my sister Arnee and I have a helpful symbiotic relationship, making working together relatively a breeze. I was thinking of women empowerment when I penned this song. Own your look! Don’t be confined to a box. Be who you want to be,” enthused the former Smokey Mountain member.
BYS is the first cosmetic brand to break into the music scene with a hit dance single that is not only upbeat but empowering as well. The brand’s acronym encourages women to ‘bring your style for a beautiful youthful stunning you’ as spokesperson Arnee does. A devoted mother of two sons, who actively pursues her dreams with great style, she is truly an inspiration to Filipinas and the perfect role model for the brand’s campaign.
“It’s been a pleasure to be BYS’ brand ambassador. I feel so blessed to be given this opportunity and be the voice to women empowerment,” intoned Arnee, kicking her comeback into full gear after her stint in the talent search The Voice. Also in line with her pursuit as an artiste, Arnee will be gracing the cover of a men’s magazine.
As part of this exciting campaign, Arnee will have a series of mall shows nationwide starting on Mother’s Day weekend to promote her latest single together with the perfect blend of makeup and Zumba fitness sessions.
“Before we met the Hidalgo siblings, all we wanted to come up with was a jingle. Needless to say, Jeffrey made it into a full recording and Arnee, the singer-mom, epitomizes what the brand is all about. The cosmetics industry is very competitive. We have been in the Philippine for three years now and we’ve built credibility for the brand. BYS is marketed in 30 countries worldwide including the Philippines,” shared iFace president and CEO Tony Chua, distributor of the label in the country.

The music video was formally launched at The Plaza inside the sprawling Resorts World Manila (RMW) complex, a charming indoor piazza naturally lit by a breathtaking glass skylight.
