Binibining Pilipinas 2022 season

BPCI to open pageant season in March

After the line-up of official candidates will have been determined after its March deadline, the opening salvo of the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant will be a grand Flores de Mayo parade around Araneta City in May. This will be followed by other pre-pageant activities and charity work.

The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI), through its spokesperson, Ginez Enriquez, told their official news agency partner, ABS-CBN, that they will strictly comply with health protocols. "Official contestants and everyone involved in the pageant must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to the kick-off of events for the competition. We will adhere to the policies set by the LGU and IATF," he added.

The grand coronation night is set in July 2022 with four crowns at stake - Binibining Pilipinas International, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International, Binibining Pilipinas InterContinental, and Binibining Pilipinas Globe. Pageant fans were saddened after the Supra title left BPCI. Last year, the franchise was with the Miss World-Philippines organization. Dindy Pajares, a former Binibini entrant, was the organization's appointed representative to the Poland-based pageant. Dindi made it to the Top 12 cut.

BPCI has yet to confirm the addition of another Binibining Pilipinas crown - perhaps the Miss Mesoamericana. With the Grand International title still mentioned in the line-up of crowns at stake, rumors have circulated that Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta may have continued her franchise with MGI. But it could also mean that things are being ironed out prior to the July pageant. In a few weeks, we will know.

The screening of applications will start by next month. Stay tuned!
