Before flying to Vietnam to compete in the international finals, Miss Cosmo New Zealand 2025 Katherina "Ina" Weischede trained in the Philippines with a team of trainers that included queenmaker Rodgil Flores.
"I trained in the Philippines because I want to harness my skills like all Philippine representatives going to international competitions. I started my two-week pasarela training with Tito Rodgil as early as July then came back to polish my skills in November during our term break. I have an entrepreneurial advocacy which hopes to equip knowledge and opportunity to participants through workshop training. I've created toys from slime since I was ten years old. My toy store has been operating since then. Age should not be a barrier to succeed," she revealed, during an intimate media huddle at the El Calle in Resorts World Manila.
Ina is currently enrolled in the double program of Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws at the University of Auckland. The 19-year-old wannabe-lawyer hopes to follow in the foosteps of her mom, Maricel Weischede, who is an immigration lawyer.
Standing at 170 cms, the bubbly entrepreneur first joined a local pageant in 2017. Eventually, she competed in Miss Philippines New Zealand 2023, a national pageant in her country, that she won and allowed her to compete in the Miss Asia Pacific 2024, where she placed in the Top 10.
Ina is currently competing with our own representative, Miss Cosmo Philippines 2025 Chelsea Fernandez in the second edition of this fast-rising pageant platform.
The 2025 Miss Cosmo International coronation night will unfold at the Creative Park of Ho Chi Minh City on December 20. Outgoing titleholder Ketut Permata Juliastrid of Indonesia will crown her successor. Stay tuned!
