TPN Global chief executive officer Piyaporn “Rui” Sankosik flew to Manila to crown the new Miss Global Philippines, Veejay Lyn Lorejo, at the Merino Ballroom of the Seda Vertis North in Quezon City.
“I’m so happy to work with ALV Pageant Circle. I flew to Manila to celebrate this coronation gala. Your new queen will be an inspiration to a lot of people.
“TPN Global will do everything to come up with the best pageant,” declared the Thai CEO, after signing the agreement with the national organization.
Miss Global 2025 Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van and Mutya ng Pilipinas Global 2025 Xena Ramos assisted in crowning the new queen during the coronation rites.
“I’m equally happy to be here in Manila to crown the new Miss Global Philippines and reunite with Xena who was my roommate during the international finals last year.
“To you, Jayvee, your journey starts today and it will be filled with opportunities. This pageant is not just about beauty but more so with purpose for positive change in the world,” said the current titleholder from Vietnam.
Former titleholder Valerie Pawid West of Ifugao withdrew from the competition. ALV Pageant Circle issued an official statement on West’s decision.
“ALV Pageant Circle has always been fortunate with aligning our mission/vision with international platforms like TPN Global. Togethet, we embrace cultures and empower the beauty within.
“Opportunities always open doors and they are always bigger and better. We chose Jayvee because she fits the standard of a Miss Global queen.
“Miss Global will be part of our annual Miss World Philippines pageant and we will crown a new queen when we hold the search in late January 2027 at the Araneta Coliseum,” informed national director Arnold L. Vegafria.
The coronation event was hosted by model-actor Victor Basa and Universal Woman 2024 Maria Gigante.
Jayvee said she was born in a small town in Davao. “I did not expect to be representing the Philippines on an international stage. I’ll simply show my true self to the world. Pageantry has taught me to be prepared because opportunity comes unexpectedly,” enthused the newly-crowned Dabaweña.
“As a simple girl from Davao, I am carrying the story of my family and my late grandmother, who shared this dream with me. I am very real and don’t pretend to be someone I am not. And I love to travel around the world, as well as travel domesticalky,” said Jayvee, who also happens to be a flight attendant.
Jayvee will fly to Bangkok on Sept 26, in time for the registration & sashing. The pageant will run from Sept 28 to October 10.
Outgoing queen Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van of Vietnam will crown her successor. 70 international delegates will join this year’s competition. Stay tuned!
