Binibining Pilipinas 2026 2nd runner-up
Tracy Mae Sunio’s successful re-entry into the BBP family
By Earl D.C. Bracamonte
Tracy Mae Sunio first joined the Binibining Pilipinas in 2024. Back then, she had no idea what the competition was all about as she was sent by Bacolod City as part of her responsibility as Miss Bacolod Masskara 2023 – something she signed for in a written contract.
Luckily, she landed in the Top 15. But this year, she asked herself if she was contented with her placement or try again and achieve a better placement. So she dreamt big and tried her luck the second time.
Luckily, her second foray into the 62nd edition gave her a higher placement – as Binibining Pilipinas 2026 2nd runner-up. She was also part of the first-ever Top 4 finalists who made the cut from the Top 12. In years past, the winners were announced straight from the semifinal round of 12 or 15 qualifiers.
The 5’5.5” Bacolodnon stopped her schooling during the pandemic. She’s already a Junior in BS Psychology from the Riverside College in Bacolod.
Her advocacy, Diverse Personalities Awareness, is an educational campaign to help people with disabilities and challenges remain safe in their respective spaces.
Tracy said this is her last pageant. Now at 26, she wants to settle down and raise a family two years from now!
