Bouncing back faster

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) pushes for more quality time with family by advocating five-times-faster formulation Panadol. For Filipinos, family comes first, that is why when pain strikes, precious moments with the family is the first to suffer.
“GSK has always been in the forefront of addressing concerns on health and wellbeing. We contribute to the prosperity of communities. Headaches are understated and mostly untreated worldwide. It knows no race nor geographical location. Nobody is immune. Last year, we brought to the Philippines the world’s fastest pain reliever of over three decades now, Panadol. It is the only one with Opti-Zorb; reaching the bloodstream and areas where it is supposed to work. Never let pain get in the way with the ones you love,” enthused Gikki Martija, marketing director for the consumer healthcare division.
Panadol is a paracetamol-based analgesic that provides fast, effective temporary relief of pain and discomfort associated with headache, period pain, tension headache, colds and flu symptoms, migraine, muscular aches, arthritis/osteoarthritis, backache and toothache.
“Pain accounts for 80 per cent of all physician visits. Pain is described as any unpleasant sensory and/or physical condition. In 1979, the Int’l Institute for Pain was created.
“Pain has economic implications. In 1995, the U.S. calculated about $3-billion in wages from 50 million hours unworked. Some of the options for pain management includes exercise, physical therapy, acupuncture, surgery, and oral medication.
“Paracetamol does not cause gastric irritation or platelet aggregation which may precipitate or aggravate bleeding. When pain is gone, life takes its place,” elucidated pain expert Dr. Joy Luat-inciong.
“Filipinos are matiisin. They take the lesser dosage so oftentimes the pain they feel is not alleviated. Multi-modal prescriptions are those that combine lesser dosage with something else,” she added.
Panadol  also helps reduce fever. It is likewise a good choice of pain reliever for people with sensitive stomachs, ulcers, and other intestinal disorders. Panadol can also be used by breastfeeding women.
“We feel pain 70 per cent of the time. A lot of things happen that will make one unproductive when pain strikes. That’s why GSK answer these concerns. The company advocates for pain-free moments.
“As a sportsman, photographer and award-winning celebrity, our new brand ambassador Ryan Agoncillo emulates the qualities of being the super dad,” shared general manager Jeoffrey Yulo.
Panadol advocates the importance of having pain-free moments with loved ones, and sharing this message together his son Lucho is father/athlete/host Ryan Agoncillo.
“Fathers are their sons’ first hero and I took that to heart. Being a dad is my most important task. It is important to have super moments with my family, especially the kids. You can’t just give excuses if they ask for your time. Unlike before, this is the first time that I work with my son Lucho on a one-on-one basis.
“I used to race cars and motorbikes since college. To date, I’m training for the upcoming Xterra in New Zealand, a more intense off-road triathlon race. The Mayon course we tackled early this year was a beautiful course too. It took me two years to be first placer in my age category.
“Any sport allows you to meet schedules and self. It fixes your life in the process. You can anchor your life in it because of the discipline it entails. Nothing you say will ever matter but what you do especially in front of your kids,” shared product endorser Ryan Agoncillo.
Headquartered in the US, GSK is a science-led global healthcare company that researches and develops a broad range of innovative medications and brands. Including Panadol, its  other products are used by millions of people around the world, helping them do more, feel better and live longer.
