Fragrance label crowns new ambassadors

Sixteen-year-old Mhelbie Ashley Carig of Sampaloc, Manila and 24-year-old Thomas Anselmo of Marikina City were proclaimed the first Augustus Perfume ambassadors at the close of glitzy ceremonies in San Juan City. Each of the winners received a cash prize of Php100,000, aside from product giveaways and a contract to become the brand's spokespersons.


Jemila Nicole Velilia of Bulacan and Allen Ong Molina of Tarlac City were named first runners-up, while Nicole Miñano of Caloocan City and Lennard Wesley Angat of Sta. Rosa, Laguna were the second runners-up. On the other hand, Ruth Anne Bognot of Angeles City and Giles Lozano of Manila were named Scent Responsibility ambassadors, who will be helping the winners in any/all of the brand's outreach events.

Hundreds of new fragrances are being released, annually, in the Philippines alone and consumers never tire of buying new fragrances for themselves, their friends, and loved ones. The creation of Augustus Perfume, the new fragrance for modern day Filipinos, was inspired from luxury brands that are highly redolent, yet comfortably available at consumer-friendly prices. Each scent is a unique and fresh note that truly disrupts the traditional concoctions of the perfumers in the country.


Launched in August 2015, and just sold to close friends and family, CEO and founder Jack Jakosalem shifted to selling online. Because of the high quality of the scents and positive word-of-mouth, it went a long way while gaining so much popularity; prompting them to put up their first retail space inside a mall in February 2016.
