Bohol wins intro challenge

By Earl D.C. Bracamonte

Bohol representative, Pauline Cucharo Amelinckx, won the Introduction Video challenge and bested 51 other equally beautiful intros from her co-aspirants. In her spiel, she said, "A fun secret about me is actually a little trivia. I can hold my breath for four minutes underwater as a certified AIDA 2 free diver. It's a bit of an understatement if I say I love the ocean."

The two other winning spots went to Shaira Aliyah Diaz of San Pablo, Laguna and Lou Dominique Piczon of Cebu Province.

On the other end of the spectrum, La Union aspirant, Louise Nicole Dabu, got the flak on social media for describing her appetite as that of a "construction worker." While the phraseology was clearly using hyperbole as a figure of speech, many took her utterance very literally.

Now 26, Pauline is trying her second luck at the national pageant. During her first try, she placed as 3rd runner-up up to eventual winner Rabiya Mateo. She and Lou Dominique Piczon were co-candidates back in 2020.

Meanwhile, here's the leaderboard in the Follower Sprint challenge for the week of March 14:
