Handa Na
Innervoices in full swing mode
By Earl D.C. Bracamonte
A night after their 34th anniversary show at the 19 East Bar in Muntinlupa City, pop rock band Innervoices continues their performing streak at the Hard Rock Café in Makati City.
Preparing for the release of their new album, the group has been performing their new songs in bars where they have regular gigs like Aromata in Quezon City, 19 East in Muntinlupa, and Hard Rock Café in Makati, aside from other promotional activities like the Wish Bus.
In their latest Makati gig, listeners were regaled by the band's mix of easy listening, pop, rock, alternative, and OPM hits. Their repertoire included REM hits like "Stars" and "Losing My Religion," Spandau Ballet's "Gold," Psychedelic Furs' "The Ghost in You," When in Rome's "The Promise," Simple Minds' "Don't You (Forget About Me)," Earth Wind & Fire's "September;" as well as OPM classics such as Gino Padilla's "Closer You & I" and Gary Valenciano's dance tune "Di Bale Na Lang" to name a few.
Fortunately, the rain that drenched the metro the night before gave way to a fairer, albeit cloudy, weather.
The Innervoices is one of the mainstays of Hard Rock Café. They perform twice weekly, on Thursdays and Saturdays. Their forthcoming album, titled "Handa Na," will be out soon. Check out their new songs on Spotify, Apple Music, and YT Music and other music platforms.
