Innervoices
Revving up for their next album
By Earl D.C. Bracamonte
Innervoices is experiencing a rebirth of sorts. In their final reformatting as a pop rock band, the group is now headlined by a new lead vocalist. And the band's manager, Atty. Rey Bergado, aside from busy preparing for their forthcoming album, has written songs and published their new music with digital music platforms.
"We'll probably compile ten new songs for our new album. Our new lead vocalist, Pat, has recorded seven so far. The transition to our new vocalist is seamless. It feels like a rebirth with new songs and new style gaining new supporters and followers. This would probably be the last time we're gonna reformat our band," revealed Atty. Bergado, during a public performance at Aromata Bar in Quezon City.
A number of new tunes will be published on digital music platforms like Apple Music and YT Music, among others. Audiophiles can look forward to songs like "Handa na Kitang Mahalin" and "Sayaw sa Ilalim ng Buwan."
"I've already proven my mettle in Singapore. I always sing from the heart," intoned new lead vocalist Patrick Marcelino, who wowed the audience with his vocal prowess. Interestingly, the tattooed artist said his body art was not part of his plan to be a singer. He got his first tattoo at 18 and only got the rest last year, when he turned 41.
Pat follows Angelo Miguel and Nants del Rosario as lead vocalist. Pioneer members like bassist Alvin Hebron has stayed with the band's many transitions because of the friendship among them. The other members of the band are Rene Tecson (guitar), Jojo Esparago (drums), Joseph Cruz and Atty. Bergado on keyboards.
