GMA TV begins dance showdown with the Stars

The Rainbow Network paired celebrities with digital stars to come up with a dance format titled "Stars on the Floor."

Hosted by Alden Richards, with jurors Marian Rivera, Pokwang, and Coach Jay Joseph of SB19, the weekend show promises TV audiences something to look forward to week after week.

"Pinoys have a reputation of loving to dance as we see on Tiktok and the Facebook & Instagram reels. Even our musical arrangements are on a different level. In this show, we are not restricted with our roles as jurors. You'll find out soon enough," shared Alden.

Celebrities like Glyza de Castro, Rodjun Cruz, Faith da Silva, Thea Astley, and Patrick Rocamora of Vxon got paired with digital stars Kakai Almeda, Zeus Collins, Dasuri Choi, JM Yrreverre, and Joshua Decena.

"We chose established dancers and those who are not dancers but who look good. The creative process to create the show took a bit of time. The production beautifully captured the movement of the dancers to give justice to weekly performances," revealed network executive Gigi Santiago-Lara.

"Humility is important. Even with how good you are, somebody will always be better than you," advised Coach Jay Joseph of SB19.

'Stars on the Floor' begins to air its pilot episode on Saturday, June 28, and every weekend thereafter, on GMA and GMA Pinoy TV starting at 7:15 pm.
