Summer coolers & thirst quenchers

Teen heartthrob Enchong Dee gets a lift off the sweltering summer heat with the new Jollibee coffee and chocolate floats. Not only is he one of the hottest leading young stars in the country, he is also one of the busiest and most hardworking actors in the entertainment industry today.
“I create the characters I portray through my imagination. I want to do a film with me playing Andres Bonifacio. That’s my dream role,” enthused Jollibee’s brand ambassador, after going around and helping distribute coffee floats at an intimate media huddle. “This is my perfect cure for a bad day.”
The newest float treats from Jollibee – in Coffee and Chocolate flavors – are made up of deliciously smooth iced coffee or delightfully rich iced chocolate, crowned by creamy vanilla soft-serve ice cream and chocolate syrup glaze. “These refreshing drinks are the best and most delicious way to perk up a hectic workday.”
And to keep his energy level high no matter how busy he becomes, he turns to his favorite pastimes that never fail to give him a boost. These include cliff- and shark-diving as well as Muay Thai. Skydiving is in his bucket list of things to do. After his work in the tele-novela Maria la del Barrio, opposite reel sweetheart Erich Gonzales, Enchong went on a US tour to give himself that much needed break.
“You have to be always smart. There’s a strategy for everything. You have to know how to attack a given role. It’s the same in sports, you have to calculate your chances from previous challenges,” declared the young star, thinking as both actor and athlete.
Enchong used to swim and compete professionally before show-business took him away from the pool. Fly stroke is his forte. “I still swim but rarely compete as before. I get to do that only on invitational games. Sometimes though, you need to take things slow. In Hawaii, I was able to do a lot of ordinary, everyday things that I’m not able to do here,” he added.
Aside from videoke, Enchong shared that dance music gives him a surge of energy whenever he feels stressed out. A movie buff, he also said that he likes watching films during his free time and counts Click, which stars Adam Sandler, as one of his favorites. He also wants to widen his horizons this year and is planning to devote more time doing contact sports and dabbling in music.
“We’re very happy that Enchong remains a part of the Jollibee family. We believe that he perfectly embodies the youth of today; always determined to soar to the top. They juggle a variety of activities on top of school and work, and they nurture their hobbies and passions. As such, they need delightfully cool refreshments to make them feel good and give them an energy boost,” intoned VP for marketing Albert Cuadrante.
Like Enchong, anyone can get an instant lift anytime, anywhere with Jollibee’s two new flavored floats; available as separate solo drink (P45) or add-on (P25) in all Jollibee outlets nationwide. “Enchong personifies the qualities of Jollibee’s newest product addition. He represents today’s generation –bubbly, active, and always on-the-go. And the floats will be available year-round in all branches throughout the country,” informed brand manager Charisse Yacapin.
