Petrolhead: A brain like no other

One of the beautiful faces that graced the maiden issue of Socialite Magazine in Cebu, 23-year-old Elly, as her friends fondly call her, is not your usual by-the-book intelligent gal. A collector of automobile toys since her childhood, she is amazed with mechanisms and mechanical contraptions and loves to tinker with engines and their parts; earning her the moniker "Petrolhead."

This peculiar trait is what makes this Filipino-Iranian beauty tick. Elly grew up in Japan but never forgot her Pinoy lineage. She loves Cebu and is seen, more frequently, in the Queen City of the South than anywhere else.

This deadringer for beauty queen Rabiya Mateo has always been approached by talent scouts, who have all invited her to try her luck in pageants. However, she politely declines said invitations as she is seriously pursuing her B.A. Psychology degree from the Cebu Doctors University.

During her free time, Elly plucks her guitar's strings and belts out her favorite songs. With a queenly countenance, and a talent and brain to boot, Elly may be the next international pageant winner - when her time comes.
