Universal Woman Philippines 2025 Jasmine Omay left Manila over the weekend for India to compete in the international finals of Universal Woman 2025.
"I look forward to a very stressful but exciting ten-day competition because it will test everything I prepared for these past few months. I'll be on a tough journey in the next 10 days to win the country's second crown.
"My national costume will be ispired from a big festival that features flowers and blooms. My gowns (for prelims and finals) will be executed by Ehrron Montoya. It's anybody's game, but if it's your perfect time, you will be rewarded.
"I've been playing the violin for quite a while now, and I submitted "Defying Gravity" (on strings) as my talent piece. My story as an aviatrix was highlighted in my Tourism video entry, so young girls would know the future is limitless and nothing is impossible," shared the beauteous Tarlac maiden to members of the media, during her send-off presser at the Victoria Sports Tower in Quezon City.
With the Philippines wearing the 2024 crown, Jasmine, together with the ALV Pageant Circle, are hopeful that the country wins a back-to-back victory in Jaipur.
"A Universal woman is someone as eloquent as Maria Gigante in this new era of beauty. She is somebody who has an understanding for everyone; especially those who are present and offer different things to the table," continued Jasmine.
It's been four months since Jasmine's appointment as Philippine representative. She has also met another Filipina, a transwoman - Keylin Trajano - who will be representing Arabia.
"A transwoman is also a universal woman. As I said, this pageant is for inclusivity in this new era of beauty.
"A Universal Woman is also someone who has the heart to help other people, and who share her story to other empowered women.
The Universal Woman 2025 pageant is currently unfolding until August 11, with the coronation night scheduled on Aug 10 in Jaipur, India. Reigning queen Maria Gigante of the Philippines will crown her successor. Close to 70 international delegates are competing for this year's title. Stay tuned!
