Ivana Carolina of Puerto Rico bested 39 other hopefuls to emerge as the third winner of the Universal Woman crown. Outgoing queen Maria Gigante of the Philippines relinquished her title to the Puerto Rican beauty at the close of glitzy rites in Jaipur, India.

Iris Miguelez of Spain, Ismelys Velasquez of Venezuela, Katty Lopez España, and Roki Pankov of Brazil were proclaimed runners-up in descending order.

With the exception of Spain, all the finalists come from South America. And with Spain, the royal court was comprised of Latina women. Plus, with Colombia, Peru, and Dominican Republic, the Latina team took more than half of the placements in the semifinal round.

The other countries who made the cut were India, Vietnam, the Philippines, Arabia and Cameroon. Four from Asia and one from Africa.

Jasmine, and Pinay co-candidate representing Arabia, Keylyn Trajano both qualified for the semifinal round. Jasmine won her spot as the winner of the online poll - tbe People's Choice Award!

Aside from the Miss Universe that discarded fhe age ceiling in its requirements, the Universal Woman pageant has the oldest ceiling at 45. This is followed by Miss Grand International at 35 and the Miss Supranational at 32.

Puerto Rico now joins the Philippines as the only two countries who have won all major 7 crowns - Universe, World, International, Earth, Supranational, Grand International, and Universal Woman.
