Charity Gala generates funds for Miss Grand Philippines Foundation scholars

The Miss Grand International Philippines 2025 pageant edition held its Swimsuit and Evening Gown preliminary competitions at the grand ballroom of Okada Manila. Twenty nine hopefuls paraded before spectators and the selection committee.

"The Miss Grand International Philippines pageant celebrates style and substance in grand fashion; with beauty and diversity to inspire. We have representatives from places all over the country.

"With CJ Opiaza as new MGI 2024 queen, we've put the Philippines back on the global stage. Asia, in turn, is fast becoming the pageant hub of the world; being the venue of a number of global pageants of late.

"We've earmarked proceeds of the Charity Gala for our chosen recipients, as well as the scholars of the Miss Grand International Philippines Foundation; plus our relief efforts for victims of natural disasters like typhoons and floods," shared national director Arnold L. Vegafria before the preliminary evaluation.

This year's panel of judges for the preliminary competitions were Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 Dia Remulla Mate, Jericho del Rosario, Margaret Bergado, Mister International Philippines 2025 Lloyd Garcia, hotelier Takako Okada, fashion designer Louis Pangilinan, Face of Beauty International 2025 Isabelle Bilasano, Miguel Pastor, and Marites Idea Novis.

Though fewer in steps, the rung challenge of the stage steps was reminiscent of the Miss Grand International 2020 Swimsuit hurdle. This year's edition has, so far, proven to be the prototype Miss Grand show with lots of scene-stealing pirouette and twirls, including a front somersault during the swimwear parade.
