Mutya ng Pilipinas 2025 holds preliminary competition

By Earl D.C. Bracamonte

CWC Interiors held the 2025 Mutya ng Pilipinas preliminary competition at the Galerie Aviline banquet hall in Magallenes Village, Makati. The 32 official delegates presented their national costumes and swimwear, with a few candidates performing their talent pieces.

A few belted out songs, others delivered monologues, while several did dance numbers - modern ballet, tap, and folk dance among others. For us, it was a toss between an interpretation of Adele's "Chasing Pavements" or a contemporary solo ballet routine, on who will win as Best in Talent.

The delegates who stood out during the prelims were:

Naomi Wainwright - Parañaque

Eunice Deza - San Pablo City

Juliana Fresado - Iligan City

Ma. Andrea Endicio - Candelaria, Quezon

Christina Vanhefflin - Leyte Province

The winners of the various challenges - National Costume, Swimsuit, Talent, Evening Gown, Photogenic - will be announced during the first cut announvement on coronation night.

MNP president Cory Quirino said that all their queens remain with the Mutya family. "Tonight is a three-in-one delight, with the candidates competing in the Talent, Swimsuit, and National Costume categories. This will influence how the judges decide on who will make it to the final cut," she added.

With the mantra "Beauty in Giving," the 57th Mutya ng Pilipinas coronation night will unfold on Monday, November 17, at the Playtime Filoil Center (Flying V Arena) in San Juan City. Stay tuned!
