A little over a month after Emma Mary Tiglao won a back-to-back victory at the Miss Grand International pageant, another Filipina queen won a back-to-back win at the recently-concluded Miss Environment International pageant.
Mutya ng Pilipinas 2024 Ariana Pantaleon bested other international delegates to be crowned the third Miss Environment International titleholder. She was crowned by another Filipina, Shannon Robinson, who won the title a year prior.
Had Joy Barcoma won the Miss Earth title this year, the Philippines would have made a clean sweep in winning all pageant formats supporting the conservation and preservation of Mother Nature - that started with Alexei Brooks, who won as Miss Eco International in Alexandria, Egypt last summer.
Trisha Ahwera of Uganda was proclaimed 1st runner-up, while Rebecca Baptiste of Trinidad & Tobago was announced as 2nd runner-up.
The other delegates who made it to the Top 6 were Simi Nair (India), Tran Thi Myinh (Vietnam), and Gabriella Jasmin Dixon (United States of America).
Delegates visited the Plaza Moriones, Fort Santiago in Intramuros and the Kawayan Eco Park in Gen. Trias, Cavite, among other places, as well as did a clean-up drive at the Avian Sanctuary in Paranaque.
Belgium's Kayra Wouters was the crowned winner during the pageant's maiden edition in India, with Philippine delegate Michelle Arceo winning 1st runner-up. She won the national title from the ALV Pageant Circle who was the license holder at that time.
Hosted by Mr. World 2014 1st runner-up Andrew Wolfe, the Miss Environment International 2025 was held at the City of Dreams in Parañaque, Metro Manila. This year, the City of Manila played host to the competition.
