Premiere bed linen company Canadian Manufacturing unraveled recently its new collection for the coming Holidays at the 7th High Bar in Bonifacio Global City’s swanky High Street complex. Simply dubbed “Unleashed Trade Show,” the 9/11event showcased new collections under its Diamonds, Crystals, Gems, and Character lifestyle collections.
“We come up with fifteen new designs twice a year for our lifestyle bed sheets. Our Canadian-labeled sheets are exclusively for SM stores. But we have lifestyle collections for other outlets as well as Canadian labels for hotels and resorts. We supply bed linens to 65 per cent of Boracay hotels. We also have Boutique bed linens and our limited edition designer collections of Frederick Peralta and Rajo Laurel,” informed managing director Ravi Daryanani.
Lifestyle connotes one’s way of living or habit. Thus, the brand name ‘Lifestyle’ was derived from the company’s goal to make the brand everyone’s sleeping habit.
All three Lifestyle collections feature anti-pilling processes, color fastness, coordinated designs, excellent stitching quality as well as a thumbs-up from the industry-standard Oekotex certification.
“Our designs are dictated by market demands. We pick up new designs from European and US shows. Also, I take inspiration from ladies dresses every fashion season. While most homeowners pick out bed linens once or twice annually, a new breed of bed linen ‘addicts’ purchase them every week. Others get them at the beginning of the year, mid-year and towards the Holidays,” he added.
Their latest innovation, the Down-Alternative pillow, feels like its goose-down predecessor with firm density fiber filling for comfort and warmth. Hypo-allergenic and anti-bacterial, it comes in a baffle-box construction with gusset to help maintain its shape. The washable pillows, each with luxurious soft covers in 233 TC, come in three sizes: 18” x 30”, 20” x 30” and 20” x 36”.
“Our quality has survived through the past 53 years. Our cotton content has not been contaminated. It’s the same combed quality that’s rid of impurities. They’re treated with anti-pilling chemicals to avoid fiber unraveling (himol-mol) and our colors never fade as our fabrics are color-fast. All our hotel linens use 100% combed cotton that has been mercerized. This process makes the cotton strands finer and cleaner that each product comes out shinier. Our towels, on the other hand, use Egyptian cotton because they have longer fibers and are finer,” revealed Ravi.
For more bedtime fun, Canadian came up with its Character collection sporting designs of well-loved cartoon images of Mickey, Minnie, Cars, Princess, Pook-a-Looz, fairies, Marvel heroes, Barbie, Hot Wheels, the Justice League, NBA greats as well as the brand’s latest take on Sanrio characters. Hello Kitty and My Melody will surely transform your kid’s bedroom into a beautiful and magical world. Their bedtime will never be this fun and sleep-easy.
“Before, bed linen changing was just for a bed. Now, it’s a lifestyle. You play around with different kinds depending on your mood. And innovations like mattress and pillow protectors are there to shield your linens against pee from your babies and geriatrics, spillage from fluids like milk and wine, and also to protect you from bed bugs. Most of all, these protectors are washable,” Ravi enthused.
A pioneer in the beddings industry, parent company New Creation Manufacturing, began the marketing and distribution of bed sheets, comforters, pillowcases and towels in 1959. Its constant driving vision is to become the leading manufacturer of high quality bed linens in the country, not only from a product standpoint but in service delivery as well.
In 1972, the company ventured into infants and children’s wear catering to both local and overseas markets. In 1996, New Creation acquired several international licenses that began with Disney. Thereafter, trade relations with other brands like Warner Bros., the NBA, Hot Wheels, Barbie, Marvel and Sanrio followed through.
In 2003, the company achieved a milestone by spawning a new entity with Canadian Manufacturing; finding a new home but still under the same corporate umbrella. Spearheaded by company president Hiro Asandas and managing director Ravi Daryanani, the new company has continued to grow and ascend to greater heights through the years.
