South Triangle's gustatory stopover
By Key Kaluh

Red meat lovers would be delighted to know that they now have a new stopover in QC's Timog area. Bourbon-based baby back ribs is one of the top choices at Steak77, the latest addition to ERZA Food Corp.'s chain of food stores that include the kiosk concept Master Siomai and Filipino restaurant Master Garden.

"While it is true that we have catered to many different cuisines, our group still saw an opportunity for this new venture 'coz there's no steakhouse within our new area of business, so to speak. Besides, I was never satisfied with the steak offerings in this side of Timog so we created something great-tasting. That, plus the homey ambiance, good service, and more food options," shared restaurateur Ernie Chan.

Some of the must-tries include Spaghetti with Truffle Brandy Sauce, the classic prime rib-eye, Lobster Bisque, Roasted Bone Marrow, and seasoned fries.

Vegans would love the Steak77 Salad, a healthy plate of diced green & red apples, arugula, candied walnuts, crispy smoked bacon, and alfalfa sprouts sprinkled with balsamic vinaigrette.

Pasta lovers would enjoy the Creamy Mushroom Fettuccini which uses Alfredo sauce instead of the usual Bechamel sauce, and is loaded with lots of shimeji mushrooms.

"We take pride in our prime ribs and will be serving Australian beef very soon. Our culinary team has evaluated all of our dishes three months before it became part of our menu. Every three to six months, we will be coming up with new offerings and change the slow-moving items," informed executive chef Alain Viado.

Steak77 is conveniently located along Timog Avenue fronting Tramway, right at the back of the GMA-7 TV network in Quezon City.
